Anthony Carl Woods

Anthony "Shine" Woods was a gracious giver and humble person.  His smile could light up a room.  He was cherished by all those he encountered and never failed to leave a lasting impression.

Anthony was born on May 17, 1956 to Charles and Charlie Ruth Woods in Brookshire, Texas.  He attended Royal High School.  He had an unwavering faith in God and was baptized at an early age at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Over the years, he worked in the sanitation industry, Igloo and later provided transportation services as a chauffer for Carey Limousines.

Anthony will be fondly remembered by family and friends as giving, vibrant and outgoing.  He touched the lives of many with warmth and kindness.  Though reserved, Anthony's genuine care for others left an indelible mark on all who knew him.  Today, we gather to honor and remember his remarkable life.  For 67 years, the world was graced by his presence.

He was preceded in death by his beloved Dad; Charles Woods Sr and his sister Sandra Campbell.  He leaves to cherish his memory: his lovely Mother; Charlie Ruth Woods, long time and loving partner; Joyce Blakey, his daughter; Naiesha Law (Andrew), 2 grandchildren; Jacob & Nia Law; His brothers; Charles Jr, Marvin, Danny and Keith Woods; His sisters: Paulette (Frank) Lasker & Rhonda (Richard) Spencer, one brother-in-law; Ray Campbell and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who loved him dearly.
